The twins were raised & lived in Marrickville for over 27 years, they have seen the area change and grow. While growing up Marrickville Metro was their stomping ground and local grocer, in 2011 they opened up the cafe, in 2016 they took that cafe a step back in time…

Espresso Brothers (previously Cafe Le Metro) transports its customers back to 1920’s Australia, to Marrickville’s Vicar’s Woollen Mills. In the 1920’s Sir William fought to overcome prejudice against locally-manufactured woollen fabrics; as a result of his efforts, ‘Vicars, Marrickville’ became famous throughout Australia for quality tweeds, serges, woollens, blankets and rugs.
Marrickville has, from the earliest days of European settlement, been distinguished by its rich multicultural nature. Espresso Brothers is a friendly social environment where everyone is welcome.
